As a singular figure among the generation of Chinese artists born in the 1980s, Yi Guodong has consistently rooted his work in inner experience and human perception, drawing the authentic driving force of his creation from his own consciousness of life and existence. Guo Dong received his BFA in 2004 and his MFA in oil painting from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2010. His works have been shown at Xiangdi Art Center in Shanghai and Graffiti Street Gallery in Chongqing.
